We're in Africa !
We hit Africa ! Things are never like you expected. I realise every day of this trip a little bit more that we occidentals have this wrong feeling that we know how the world is me the first. We have independant news, we're educated and can understand the political and social implications and there is the internet with technology which could allow anybody to go and see the color of your house or your car. Despite all this, the one who travels anyway - I don't mean go south for the sun - gueses there is more to it than this, otherwise why go ? We now just hit Africa or at least we're real close and I can tell you it's exactly as you can imagine. We've seen this all on TV and the exact moment we dropped our anchor, we were in the middle of it. I could swer to have seen this fishing boat in a documentary; these neighbour south african guys, just alike the little shack café with the stray dogs and pissed off locals coming round singing and making music with bottles and cans ! Hell, you just can't say you KNOW just by seeing it on the web, this is so much more intense. We're only here since a few hours and I'm already slabbergasted, seeking to hang on to soming, a bit scarred of completely loosing control. Man, that's exactly what I was looking for: loose control. I feel this is going to be terrifically terrifying.
